The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is pleased to announce that it will host a panel discussion commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo Eagle lunar landing, which took place on July 21, 1969. The panel, at 7:45 a.m. on August 3, is part of the 7th International Energy Conversation Engineering Conference and the 45th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference, being held August 2-5 at the Colorado Convention Center, in Denver. The panel will feature leading figures from NASA mission control and the astronaut corps who were involved with the Apollo project throughout its duration. Participants will share their memories of the Apollo project and the lunar landing, and analyze the landing’s place in history. AIAA’s executive director Bob Dickman will serve as moderator.
