Who is Exodus?
First and foremost we are the Church, a significant part of the Body of Christ. As Christian people we know that each individual believer is a member of the Body. We each contribute our gifts and talents together in concert with every other Christian. In the same way, Exodus is a body made up of many members who together represent a portion of the Body of Christ in our specific area of giftedness and ministry. For many years, the Body of Christ, for the most part, either didn’t know Exodus existed, ignored our existence, or downright rejected our desire to be a part of the Body due to the stigma that our past sin brought with it. Many of those who make up Exodus, including me, felt hurt by that lack of acknowledgment and acceptance from the Church. We longed for them to celebrate the miracles of transformation that God had performed in us. Unfortunately, for the most part that didn’t happen.
