The first and second checked bag fees do not apply to: • All Dividend Miles Preferred members (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Chairman’s Preferred) • Star Alliance Silver and Gold status members • Passengers traveling to/from the Middle East or Brazil • Confirmed First Class and Envoy passengers • Active U.S. military personnel with ID (1st through 3rd bag up to 100 lbs/45 kg) • Unaccompanied minors (as long as you’ve paid the UM fee) You’re also allowed • Required mobility assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, canes or crutches (to check or carry on) • Infant assistive device (stroller or carseat) • Required medical supplies or equipment. These items may also be carried on to the aircraft, as long as they meet size and weight restrictions. If the medical supplies or equipment are included in a larger bag containing other non-essential items, that bag will not be considered a free item, and will be subject to normal baggage fees Overweight/oversize fees still apply.
