Who is entitled to overtime in Nevada?
In general, employers must pay 1.5 times an employee’s regular rate for hours worked in excess of 40 during a single workweek. Additionally, workers who receive a base rate of 1.5 times the minimum wage or less per hour may be able to receive overtime pay when working more than 8 hours in day. Several exceptions exist, however, and in some cases, federal wage and hour laws may apply.
