Who is eligible to receive a child care scholarship?
Benefits-eligible MIT employees (including postdoctoral associates) and postdoctoral fellows who work at least 50% time (minimum of 17.5 hours a week) and who have a child enrolled in one of MIT’s child care centers (Technology Children’s Centers) can apply for a scholarship. The child care scholarship program for graduate students has been phased out. The program is no longer accepting applications from new applicants. Graduate students who are already receiving assistance will continue to receive funding for their enrolled children until the family no longer meets the eligibility requirements (because their children leave the program, the family loses active MIT affiliation, etc.), or until June 15, 2015, whichever comes first.
