• An employee in the Senior Management Group (SMG), • An employee with an appointment of less than 50% time, • An employee currently receiving or has received retirement benefits from the University of California Retirement Plan (rehired retirees), • An employee who, prior to October 30, 2009, is entitled to separation or severance pay under another arrangement, agreement or settlement with the University that is not part of the VSO program. UC Santa Barbara has the sole discretion to determine eligibility criteria and selection for participation that includes consideration of business and operational needs. Eligibility for represented employees will be determined by collective bargaining as appropriate.
