Who is eligible to participate in the talent search?
• Have scored at the 95th percentile or higher on the national norms of a grade-level standardized achievement, aptitude, mental ability, or an approved state criterion-referenced test. Either of the two most recent test administrations may be used, and a student need only qualify in one subtest. (See qualifying tests); and • Be a current 7th grader (or current 8th grader who skipped 7th grade) either in public, private, or home school. What are the benefits of participating in the 7th Grade Talent Search? Each registered student who completes the SAT or ACT receives the items listed on the benefits page.
