Who is eligible to join the Sharon Family Chavurah?

0

There are no set membership requirements other than a willingness to attend and participate in Chavurah events, be present at business meetings (held twice a year), and meet the annual financial obligation. There is no requirement to live in Sharon or to have school-age children. Nor is there a requirement to be Jewish. (We have many mixed marriage families where one member is Jewish and one is not.) New members typically come to several events before joining so that they can see if it meets their needs. This also provides an opportunity for the Chavurah members to learn if they feel the family is appropriate for the Chavurah. We discourage families from joining if they are joining solely to send their children to our Hebrew School. We encourage members to join if they are willing to become active members who will embrace our sense of community as well as wish to send their children to our Hebrew School.
