Who is eligible to be a Master Gardener?
You are if you: Are a resident of Alabama 18 years or older. Have knowledge, experience, or just an interest in gardening or horticulture. Are willing to learn and provide research-based horticultural information to the public Can attend all training sessions. Can volunteer 40 hours to community educational horticulture programs. Potential Master Gardeners should be interested in horticulture (but a formal degree is not necessary), willing to help people with their horticultural concerns, dependable, unbiased and open-minded, and be willing to provide volunteer service to their community. Although the program is statewide, some counties may choose not to offer the program.
