Who is eligible to apply for the coverage offered?
A physician may be eligible for participation if he/she meets the following criteria: • Individual physicians must be an attending in good standing of NSLIJ • Must conduct all their practice in the State of New York and be licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York • Physicians must agree to participate in the mandatory risk management and loss control programs (premium credits are available for participation in certain voluntary risk management programs) • Shall have sufficient professional activity at a NSLIJ facility to permit the physician to engage in effective and meaningful risk management controls and quality programs
