Who is eligible for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program?
You may be eligible if you are over age 65, blind, or otherwise disabled and have met assets requirements, are a US Citizen (or meet the requirements for non-citizens), and your total countable income is below Supplemental Security Income levels. To be eligible for Supplemental Security Income, you must be considered medically disabled according to the Social Security’s definition of disability.
