Who is eligible for the Middle College Program?
If you are between the ages of 18 and 24, and do not have your high school diploma, you are eligible to take the placement test for the Middle College Program. The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is used to find out if you qualify for the Program. The test covers Reading Comprehension, Mathematic Computation, and Applied Mathematics. An overall average of a 9.0 or higher must be achieved to qualify. Once you qualify, you then have to apply to the Program, which includes a Germanna Community College Application for Admission and the Middle College Application. The Middle College Application includes an essay question, which must be answered completely. The Director then reviews these applications to determine if an interview should be arranged. In the interview with the Director, information is gathered to determine if the Program can meet your needs and if you meet the requirements of the Program. If all the steps are followed and completed, then a time is arranged for you to come
