To qualify, you must be the spouse/child of a veteran who signed up for the military from Illinois and returned to Illinois within six months of the date of discharge. The discharge must be honorable and the veteran must have been either killed in action, missing in action, a prisoner of war, or 100% totally and permanently disabled due to service-connected causes.
