Who is eligible for the IHSS Provider Plan?
In order to be eligible, records must show that the IHSS provider was authorized by the County to work 80 hours or more per month for the past two consecutive months, and that, as of the time of actual enrollment, the provider remained on the active payroll in an 80-hour assignment and reside and work within Community Health Plan’s service area, which is Los Angeles County. The provider will continue to be eligible as long as he/she is authorized to work at least 80 hours per month. Cost Members are required to pay a premium of $1 per month for coverage, which will be deducted from their paycheck. In addition, a co-payment for prescriptions and some services are also required (refer to Benefits Section).
