Who is eligible for the GSW Internship Programs?
Internships are available only at the recommendation of the student’s advisor and with the approval of the department chair, a supervising faculty member, and the internship coordinator. They are normally advisable only for juniors, seniors, or graduate students. Interns may not be on academic probation or academic suspension. The Legislative, Governor’s, and Congressional Internships are awarded on a competitive basis and require an additional application process to the specific program. Students are expected to find their own placements for the Internship (INTN 4920A), Georgia Internship (INTN 4920B), and Governor’s Internship. This provides valuable experience in job hunting and interviewing skills.
