In total, 10 students Australia wide who attend placements at AOD services in areas with an ARIA score of .2 or higher are eligible for payments from the project. To determine the ARIA score of your placement, please go to www9.health.gov.au/aria/ariainpt.cfm To claim payments the student must complete and send a Student timesheet along with an invoice to the APS. The rate of pay for which students undertaking rural payments are eligible is $50 per day. A maximum of 15 students can receive such payments from the Scheme. Students who do not have an ABN must complete a Statement by a Supplier (www.ato.gov.au/content/downloads/nat3346.pdf) which should accompany the first invoice.
