Who is eligible for half-fare ziptrip passes?
People aged 65 and over, people with disabilities and holders of a valid Medicare Card, are allowed to use our services for half-fare with proper I.D. Proper I.D. for elderly and disabled persons is the Connecticut Elderly or Disabled Identification Card for Reduced Fares on State Subsidized Public Transportation Services. Applications for this card are available by calling 333-3031. People 65 or over may also use any form of government issued picture I.D. which shows their age or date of birth. No I.D. is required when showing a valid Medicare Card. How Do I Use My Ziptrip? Before you pay your fare, tell your driver which pass you would like. Ziptrip 90-Minute and Ziptrip 1-Day When you board the bus and before you pay your fare, tell the driver that you would like a ziptrip 90-minute or 1-Day and put the appropriate fare into the fare box.
