Offenders eligible for the Montgomery County Circuit Court Adult Drug Court Program are: • Residents of Montgomery County ; • Either: • Sanctioned and approved by the Office of the State’s Attorney for referral to the Drug Court Program as part of a binding plea agreement; or • Referred as a condition of a violation of probation; or, • Non-Violent; • Assessed as a substance abuser; and • Physically, emotionally, and mentally capable of participating in Drug Court activities and programs. Juvenile offenders eligible for the Juvenile Drug Court Program are: • Residents of Montgomery County; • Between the ages of 14 and 17 years, 3 months; • Charged/on the verge of being petitioned for a Violation of Probation (VOP) having been previously adjudicated delinquent; • In, or in need of, intensive out-patient drug treatment; • Neither currently on probation for, nor have been an adjudicated delinquent for, a crime of violence as defined by Maryland Criminal Law Article, Section 14-101; • Asses
