Article 15 adjustments allow the UC to give additional salary increases to correct inequities, reward outstanding performance, or match outside offers. Any faculty member may request an Article 15 adjustment in writing to the academic unit head. The approval process follows the standard chain of command (unit head, dean, provost), but these adjustments are strictly an administrative prerogative: there are no contractually established criteria for awarding an Article 15 adjustment.
