He’s an assistant U.S. attorney and chief of the office’s Major Frauds Section in Los Angeles. Axel came from a family of lawyers though he got his bachelor’s degree in engineering at UCLA before receiving a law degree from UC Hastings College of Law.

He supervises 40 attorneys who prosecute mortgage, securities, government, corporate, investment and tax fraud in Southern California counties.
