Who is developing the merger idea?
The Joint Committee has established a temporary project board consisting of executive directors from each of the three trusts chaired by the chairman from Queen Mary’s Sidcup NHS Trust. They have appointed Dr Chris Streather, chief executive of Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust, as Senior Responsible Officer. This team is working with local staff to develop ways forward for the merger process in key areas including HR&OD, IT, finance and clinical governance.
