Who is credited with spreading Christianity throughout the Roman Empire?
No one person is known to have spread Christianity away from its early origins, but Emperor Constantine certainly ensured its success and eventual dominance of the empire. Without his patronage, financial assistance and guidance, Christianity may have remained a minority religion in the Roman Empire. More than anyone else, Constantine was responsible for the spread of Christianity throughout the Roman Empire.
