The following are considered by the BPHC and MDPH to be acceptable evidence for immunity: 1) Born in the U.S. before January 1, 1957. The exception to this is those working in health care settings, where one dose of measles-containing vaccine is required; or 2) Two doses of measles-containing vaccine received after 1968, given at least 4 weeks apart and beginning before 12 months of age, and the 2nd dose given prior to or within 72 hours of exposure; or 3) Serologic proof of immunity.
