Who is considered a minority?
For the purposes of this program, a minority is a(n): Black American, including all persons having origins in any of the Black African racial groups not of Hispanic origin; Hispanic American, including all persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central or South American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race; Person having origins in the Iberian Peninsula, including Portugal, regardless of race; Woman; Asian Pacific American and Pacific islander; American Indian and persons having origins in any of the original peoples of North America and maintaining identifiable tribal affiliations through membership and participation or community identification; or An individual with a disability. “Individual with a disability” means an individual (A) having a physical impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual or (B) having a record of such an impairment. .
