Who is behind Trango Wilderness Life Support College?
In response to this growing deficit, Trango Medical was established by four members from an active Mountain Rescue team. All members are avid outdoor adventurers and have experienced this paradigm from both the professional and recreational perspectives. Andrew: Andrew has been in prehospital medicine for 7 years, having qualified as an Advanced Life Support Paramedic in 2005. He has worked for all the major emergency services both provincial and private. He has also been climbing since he was twelve and has worked as High Angle technician for four years. Andrew has been with the Mountain Rescue Team (Gauteng) for 2 years and is the medical coordinator (Operations and Training) for the team. Andrew lectures First Aid Level 1 & 3, Remote Area Life Support (Basic & Advanced) and Lay Person Oxygen Administration. He has been lecturing on basic life support skills for 4 years.
