Who is behind the development of CPIP?
A. The CPIP concept has been developed under the guidance of Alberta Beef Producers, with research funding provided by the Federal Private Sector Risk Management Partnerships program (PSRMP). An industry working group consisting of Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development, AFSC, Alberta Beef Producers, Feeder Associations of Alberta Ltd. and Gibson Capital Inc. have worked together to complete the program design. The CPIP program will be offered by AFSC (Agriculture Financial Services Corporation) and backed by the Province of Alberta.
