Who is automatically exempt from U-Pass?
• Any student who is not assessed for student fees; • Any student who officially withdraws from the University by the withdrawal date established by UBC and who has not picked up a U-Pass (no application required); • Any outgoing UBC exchange student. Who can request an exemption?You can request an exemption if: • You do not live in the GVRD and do not take classes offered by UBC, Vancouver School of Theology, St. Marks, or Regent College in the GVRD. (Please click here for a larger map of municipalities which are within the GVRD). • You are enrolled exclusively in distance education courses and have not been automatically exempt. • You are taking a single on-campus course at a UBC campus in the GVRD for, on average, one day or less per week throughout the period for which you are registered.
