The Rs seem to attract people that want to sail for the sheer exhilaration of it, try out their ideas without fear of violating obscure and difficult to interpret rules and generally have a good time on and off the water. The experienced guys are keen to help the new crews to get up to speed and share ideas around, largely so that the top crews have to try harder locally and hence do better nationally.
