Who is ATS Diesel Performance?
To be honest, when I first started researching my 47RE, I had no clue who ATS was. I started hearing the name less than a year ago on the forums of this site, and other Dodge enthusiast sites. Many users had positive comments about the ATS TripleLok torque converter and the high performance transmissions they built for Dodge owners. Come to find out, ATS has been around for a long time. Since 1993 to be exact. When ATS first opened their doors, they specialized in general transmission repair. Basically, they worked on all kinds of vehicles. In 1997, They started building their own torque converters in house. This gave them more flexibility to enhance products for high performance customers. They started focusing more on diesel performance in 1998. In early 2002, the TripleLok torque converter was introduced. I believe that this is when the ATS name really started to hit the forums.
