Who is at risk for more severe anaphylactic reactions?
People who have previously had severe reactions are more at risk for severe reactions. Certain allergens typically cause more severe reactions. These include peanut, tree nuts, latex, bee stings, and some drugs. People who have asthma are more at risk of severe reactions. Exercise, alcoholic drinks, aspirin, and anti-inflammatory drugs can all make allergic reactions more severe.
