Often jokingly referred to as “Rush Limbaugh in a miniskirt,” political commentator Ann Coulter has earned herself a permanent place in the spotlight with her scathing critiques of anyone who fails to agree with her unabashedly conservative viewpoint. In 2001, federal judge Richard Posner named Coulter to the Top 100 Public Intellectuals. Ann Coulter was born 8 December 1961. She had a solidly middle class upbringing in Connecticut and went on to graduate cum laude from Cornell in 1984. After earning a degree from the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Coulter worked in a private practice specializing in corporate law. She later worked with the United States Senate Judiciary Committee and the Center for Individual Rights before beginning her career as a writer and speaker.
