Boro 3-1 Stockport (Griffin 2, Bostwick) Highlights | Westley Interview Stevenage secured their first win in the football league with a comfortable 3-1 victory against Stockport County. Two goals from Charlie Griffin, plus a stunning strike from Michael Bostwick gave Boro a 3-0 lead before Stockport sneaked a consolation at the end when George Donnelly headed home. It was a good, solid performance by the hosts who seem to be improving all the time. Some of the football played at times was terrific to watch. Graham Westley made a few changes to the team that lost at Bradford last week. Darius Charles came in at left back, giving Scott Laird a chance to go further forward in a wing back role. Jon Ashton made his first appearance of the season and partnered Roberts at the back. It was a very fluid shape today. At times it was a 3-5-2 with Ronnie and Laird as wing backs, but then it switched into a 4-4-2 with Charles playing at left back. The versatility of this squad is a big asset as GW
