Who is ACEC Oregon?
ACEC Oregon is a non-profit organization originally founded in 1956 as the Consulting Engineers Council of Oregon (CECO). In 2002 it’s name was changed to ACEC Oregon (American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon). However, it’s goal remains the same: to protect the public welfare and advance the professional quality of private practice consulting engineers and surveyors. ACEC Oregon represents approximately 3,500 employees in Oregon through approximately 100 consulting engineering and surveying firms of all sizes. ACEC Oregon is a member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in Washington, D.C. With 5,700 member firms, ACEC is the largest national organization of engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering. Created to assist consulting engineering and surveying firms in achieving their business-related goals, ACEC Oregon promotes professionalism and quality, and is the only organization with staff lobbyists watching out for the bus
