Who is accusing James Richard Ricky Thompson of killing to university students?
An anonymous tip led homicide investigators to suspect Austin resident James Richard “Ricky” Thompson of killing two recent University of Texas graduates, Austin police officials said at a press conference today. Thompson was arrested in connection with the West Campus slayings of Stacy Barnett, 22, and John Goosey, 21. Thompson was charged Saturday with two counts of capital murder charges and on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge. Barnett (below right) and Goosey were found shot to death Tuesday in their home at 904 W. 21st St., where they lived on the second floor of the Preservation Square condominium complex.
