Who is a teen in the firefighting program?
My name is Delmari Tyndale and I am 16 years old, I live in Renton Washington. I am signed up with the Tukwila fire explorers post 51. The main reason I signed up for this program is because I wanted to gain some experience in this career. This program is very good learning experience, on firefighting technique. Some of the activities we are involved are, alot of community service events, where we do things like first aid, parades, and security. We also respond to some working fires with various departments in the king county area to give rehab and support to the firefighters on the fire scene. And last but not least we put out controlled fires for the King County Fire Investigators. I have been in this program for a year, and it has definitely given me a widened view on the firefighting career.
