Who is a good candidate for a vision correction procedure?
A. Vision correction procedures can improve a wide range of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Our patients are usually between the ages of 20 and 60. We do not recommend the procedures on patients before age 20 because their eyes are often not stable and their prescription is changing. Vision correction patients should have a strong desire to be less dependent on glasses or contact lenses and willing to accept the risks of the procedure.
