Who Is A Forester?
A Forester is a graduate of a University or College with a Bachelors Degree in a Forestry curriculum accredited by the Society of American Foresters. In Pennsylvania only those persons who have these credentials are listed on the State’s Registry of Consulting and Industrial Foresters. Foresters work for Federal, State and Local governments, for industry, and for private woodland owners as consultants. Foresters develop management strategies to secure the greatest potential from the urban or rural forest.
