We all need to expand our vision of just who potential Career & Technical Center students are. Prospective Career & Technical Center students might be those in Grades 9 – 12 with possibly some opportunities for those in middle school: • Who enjoy hands-on work (building trades, welding, manufacturing) • Who want to work with computers • Who want to be engineers • Who want to work in medical professions • Who want to explore public safety careers, teaching or child care • Who don’t do well in a traditional school setting and might learn better in a project-based setting • Who are uncertain about a future career and want to explore options • Who don’t think they want to go to college • Who want to go to college • Who need to earn a living wage immediately after high school.
