they all have different styles, but being an upcoming rapper myself and studying these lyrics closely. NAS is very complex with his lyrics, i mean I never used to understand what he used to say, but after thinking a lot, I got to understand him and he makes u think a lot Jay- Z on the other hand is also complex sometimes like in the song “Pressure” where he was comparing two things in his verse. Basically tho, Jay-z is more commercial and less complex than NAS. You understand what Jay-Z says most of the time without studying the lyrics. Lil Boosie and Lil wayne are not anything close to complex, shallow lines, but they sound really good and are extremely commercial. It depends on what being a better rap artist means to you. Do you mean someone who sounds really good, or one who makes you think. I would personally go for NAS tho cos i like to think and plus cos he is a real teacher if u listen to his songs.
