Who Invented the Wagon?
There are still some mysteries that haven’t been solved that would surprise you. One of them is the wheel, and another is the wagon. The oldest wheel discovered was found in Mesopotamia and is over fifty five hundred years old. There were many steps that took place to invent the wagon. First, humans had to realize that it was easier to move heavy objects if something round was placed under it. For example, logs were used to roll items from one place to another. Next, was the sledge, which was what the archeologists called moving things by placing sticks and logs under the object. It’s a combination of sled and wedge. The log roller process was used by humans by placing several logs or rollers in a row and dragging the sledge over one roller to the next roller. Next, primitive axles, carts and fixed axles.
