Who invented the toilet seat cover?
Actually my Grandmother invented the first disposable toilet seat cover in Ontario, Canada. She came up with the idea in the 1950’s. My mother told me she came up with the idea after becoming tired of “lacing” the toilet with toilet paper for her and her younger brother whenever they used a public restroom. She entered an invention/idea contest for the idea and was awarded $20,000 and a mink coat to sign over the rights to the idea to the company. Our family still has the newspaper clipping. Her name is Grace Broatch Earl. Our family has several patents/inventions listed on both on the USPTO and CIPO (Canadian Intellectual Property Office) databases; total of over 40 and several DoD patents.
