Who invented the Internet, Timothy Berners-Lee or Amiercans?
The internet was invented in 1969 by the U.S. government. It was called Arpanet. It was created for two reasons: 1) in case of a nuclear attack, they wanted to make sure the network could still remain up, even if its main computer went down. 2) So scientists could share information with each other.
