Who invented the idea of painting???????
Painting wasn’t so much as invented as it developed out of a need to express ideas between people. The oldest images that still exist were thought to be the cave wall drawings of a buffalo and another animal. Those remained the oldest for a very long time, but now there is another older image that has been called “Kokopelli”. It is a very stylized drawing of a man , playing a flute, seen from the side. I can just imagine cave men developing drawing skill as they discussed where to find the best hunting animals, or some other ideas that were best communicated using a drawing. They must have picked up a stick and drawn in the sand or dirt. At some time that probably became a coal from a fire on a cave wall, and then drawing took off. Kokopelli has been used in all sorts of ads, and other art because it looks just like it had been drawn from today’s popular culture.
