Back in 300 AD there were popcorn makers that were used that the invention was a crockery type of kettle that had a hold in the top and a handle for shaking over the fire this was in Peru, and then another type of machine was used in the 17th century. Then in 1885 the first commercial popcorn machine was invented by Charles C Cretors who owned a candy shop in Illinois.
