The bat bomb was tried unsuccessfully in Europe! I don’t think it was ever used against japan! The idea was to strap an incendiary devise on to a bat when they went to roost in day light in church belfries and barns the time fuse would ignite and set fire to the roost. It proved to be a great waste of time and effort for little return. An aircraft could carry more incendiaries in one mission then a hundred bats!
