Who invented or created the character Supergirl in l962?
Supergirl was created by Otto Binder, who was a noted science fiction writer and wrote a column called ( Our Space Age) as well as several books on UFO”s. Almost certainly he was inspired by a sort of Marilyn Monroe-Jayne Mansfield composite. Her native name , Kara means (Jewel or Gem) in German and is an obsolete standard of mineral purity -perhaps related to (Karat). There is a Kara Sea in Russian waters.
