Who invented Marmoleum flooring?
Marmoleum was invented as early as the 19th century by Sir Frederick Walton, a popular British rubber manufacturer. The main inspiration Sir Walton used was the thick and rubbery skin that accumulated over his can of paints. What he did was take this rubbery skin, mix it with cork, put it on a canvas, and Voila! Marmoleum is born.
