Who invented ballet?
Ballet originally developed in Italy during the late 1400s as a dance interpretation of fencing. It was later brought to France, where it grew and flourished during the 17th century. This can be seen in that vast amount of French terms used for styles and positions in ballet. From there, it was developed in Russia and Denmark, and the resulting conglomeration of styles ver the centuries has given us modern ballet, as we know it.
