The ink fountain pen was invented by Slavoljub Eduard Penkala in the year 1907. Baum, a German inventor patented the ballpoint pen in the year 1910 and, in 1916, one more ball point pen device was patented by Van Vechten Riesburg. Laszlo Biro is credited for inventing the modern ball point pen.
