Who influenced the band Led Zeppelin?
The Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix and The Who come to mind. Led Zeppelin had several different influences. The Yardbirds, in a completely different incarnation, became Led Zeppelin. Only Jimmy Page was an original member. They’re definitely a big influence. Others would be Chicago and Delta blues singers like Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters. Also, British folk rock muscians like Bert Jansch, John Fahey and Fairport Convention. Plus a little influence from late 60’s California psychedelic bands like Spirit and Moby Grape. And – a bit of rockabilly.
